Police are investigating after a man stole a battery valued at $300 from Kilmore’s hospital.

The man drove a burgundy sedan to the hospital about 7.40am on Friday, May 27, and backed it into a large digital sign near the hospital’s main entrance.

The offender used tools from his vehicle to remove and steal the sign’s battery.

Between Tuesday, May 31, and Tuesday, June 2, a house under construction in Smokehouse Lane, Kilmore was accessed.

The offender removed temporary fencing to gain access to the house that is currently at frame stage and stole sheets of delivered tongue and groove flooring valued at $1300.

The back window of a vehicle was smashed in Broadford overnight on Thursday, June 2.

The vehicle was parked at the Sugarloaf Motel when a rock or brick was thrown at its window between 10pm on Thursday, June 2, and 5.30am on Friday, June 3.

A vehicle parked in Tehan St, Seymour, was also damaged overnight on Tuesday, May 31. The offenders damaged the vehicle by kicking the driver’s side door, causing two large dents and $1000 worth of damage.

A Solo chainsaw was stolen from a shipping container on a farm on Kimberley Dve, Broadford, between May 17 and June 1.

The offender cut three large padlocks from the shipping container with an angle grinder or similar implement to gain access.

Signs at the entrance to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning on Hume and Hovell Rd, Seymour, were damaged overnight on May 26.

The offender used force to remove the two signs from their posts before throwing the signs over the fence.

Pyalong police have found a stolen firearm, ammunition and illicit drugs during the search of an intercepted vehicle on Mission Hill Rd, Baynton, on Friday, June 3.

A Kurunjang man, 34, was arrested, charged and bailed to appear at Seymour Magistrates’ Court in September.
